what trans came in the 1993 camaro z28? 700r4 ?

Later cars came with the 4L60E

 

Otherwise known as the 700R4.....Trans is identical internally no matter the designation. The "E" is electronically controlled rather than line pressure increased by a TV valve. The 93 is technically called the 4L60.....but it is still controlled by the TV attached to the throttle body via cable.....so it is still a 700R4, GM just changed the name from 93 and on. As for hard parts they are identical.....only difference is in the valve body of the trans..

 

The 93 is a one year only 4L60, and 92 and older were titled as 700R4. The 93 has different valve body and a 5 pin plug on the drivers side vice a 4 pin plug, for the lock up circuitry.
