ok on my '93 Z i manually upshift through the gears b/c my tranny short shifts at about 4,500. Before this problem started i would take 1rst to about 5,300 then click it into 2. But just recentally every time I put it in 1 it will shift into 2nd right at 5k, with the stick still in 1rst, it will go right to 2nd and still pull just like i had pushed it up. Before if i had it in first i could take her right to the limiter. Does anyone know why my tanny is doing this i thought if I had it in first gear lock it wouldn't up shift? any ideas?

F.Y.I.. tranny was rebuilt 9k miles ago by a shop not under warrenty anymore, could cheap valves or whatever broken for the 1-2 shift?

 

thats strange. Deffently something in the valvebody. I would bring it back for a check up.
