Tranny slipping already

well ive had my car a week, about $300 and days of it sitting around out of commision I get to drive it again. And wouldnt you know the transmission is slipping. Its not bad on takeoff but when you have it revved out going changing gears and staying on the gas it just stays wound up.

so far : new fuel pump, new battery, new ignition switch, new window motor... now tranny.

really thinking about putting this thing in the paper

how hard is it to rebuild this thing if I got a video to follow and the kit? I work at a body shop and I imagine theres some specialty tools involved. what should I do?

I'd leave it to the professionals to get a good rebuild done if you have some uncertainty. There are a couple supporting vendors on this site that specialize in tranny rebuilds.

My thought about someone trying to rebuild their own 4L60E. Scroll down in this post to where I explain what's involved.
