tranny slipping

i just got a madz28 tune, now when i go WOT sometimes my tranny slips. i stomped on it at about 20 mph, it downshifted perfectly, but after it downshifted into the gear it slipped and rpms shot way up bouncing off the rev limiter. i got it tuned for firmer shifts too. i take it this is my tranny on its way out?

Re: tranny slipping

I went with the full blown Race trans with most of the specialty options and it cost me about $1300, But i plan on putting down about 450RWHP this season so I went with the top of the line,

If you are not running big HP you can go with one of the performance rebuilds to save a bit of $$, which ever one you decide to go with it will be worth it every dime! Frank is the best 4L60E-700R4 builder there is.

Re: tranny slipping

It does sound like the transmission is on it's way out. Probably both the 2-4 band and the 3-4 clutches are losing their "holding power"...
