Tranny shifts weird / abs light
Hey everyone.. I have a 95 Z28 with 232,000 miles on it all stock. Except for a oil leak from the front main, the engine runs great. But I've been having an intermittent problem with the transmission shifting. Every now and then it doesn't want to shift to 2nd like it should. It will eventually, but the RPM's get way up higher than normal. If it starts happening I can stop the car and turn it off...start it back up again and everything is perfect. It used to happen once every few months, now it's happening once every day or two. About 20k miles ago had the tranny completly removed and all seals changed to fix a few leaks. Problem did exist before that also though.
I also just did my plugs and wires... what fun! Since then I've been getting an ABS INOP light every now and then. I've been searching on the boards and some people noted that the plug wire may be too close to the wheel sensors. I'll be checking that out this weekend, but figured I'd throw it in here also to see if anyone has any input on that.
Sorry about the long post... was trying to give as much info as I possibly could. Any advice? or is it time for me to start thinking about a new tranny?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated... Thanks in advance!

BigRedChevy... I had the entire tranny removed and they replaced all the seals on it. Didn't do anything with the rear main. The tranny problem did exist before I had all the work done though.
Just fixed my problem, mine was the wires by the passenger side header primary. After fixing the wires, I looked at all the sensors and saw that it wouldn't have been that hard of a fix to clean all 3 of mine.
Might want to give that a try.

Thanks Johnny... I'll look into that. I haven't had time to try and look over everything. Was it a plug wire too close to something on the passenger side?
I think my tranny is pretty much gone. My wife has a friend selling a 99 Trans Am.. so I'm thinking about retiring mine and getting something with much less miles on it.
Thanks everyone for the replies!
