just recently when it started to get really cold my tranny started acting weird. At WOT and shifting from 1-2 it will rev out at high rpms and if i slightly let off the gas it shifts and keeps going. it seems after i drive the car for a while it starts to shift better tho. fluid seems fine.

sorry, its a 94 camaro z28. it has about 89,000 miles.

 

That was the first sign of the transmission dying in the 3 4L60E's that I've gone through. Start saving money and drive her gently in the meantime.

 

Mine does the exact same thing but its a 99, is there a difference depending on the year?
