Tranny needs time to think.........

When I jump in my car when its dead cold and fire it up I generally let it warm up for 5 to 10 mins. Then when I put the automatic trans in reverse it takes 20 or 30 seconds before she starts to move then when I go to any forward gear it does the same thing even if I give it gas it seems to slip but then catches up and we're ready to roll after a mile or so down the road there is no issues pulls hard in all gears , shifts fine, and does'nt need any more time to think,,,,,,,,,, thoughts?
