Which tranny mount for T56?

Im gonna try replacing mine but I cant decide which to get. Basically Im wondering if people are having the same vibration problems with the ES unit and an M6 as they seem to have with the A4? I cant see spending $50 for the LS1 peice of the ES works fine and should be stronger.

I ran the ES piece for about 5K miles in my M6...too much vibration. Bought the new LT1 piece (beefed up from the original design) and it's still running strong after 50K miles.

You are going to get a large variety of opinions on this.

- I went through 2 stockers, one broke a week after buying the car, broke the second one a couple weeks later. Stockers stuck

- Upgraded to a 1LE unit. I couldn't feel any difference between this and the stockers, but this one didn't break. That's a good thing. This was years ago, before people were even trying the LS1 mounts, and at the time my car was near stock.

- I wanted a firmer feel, so I upgraded to the ES Poly mount. I like a firm feel to the car, and I was happy w/ the result. My car is now to the point where even if I swapped a 1LE back in, you'd never know it, as other vibrations come into play (chassis mounted torque arm, solid mounted exhaust mounts, etc.).

I don't know if the 1LE can take high-abuse shifting, but seemed to work fine for me. I ended up putting it in my Blazer to replace a broken mount on that, which it also worked well for.

IMO, if you already have a loud car w/ heads/decent sized cam, you will prefer the more solid feel of the ES mount. Those with stockish cars who want the soft ride would probably prefer an LS1 or 1LE mount.

Would you happen to know the PN for that ES unit?

Re: Which tranny mount for T56?

Would the 1LE or ES tanny mount help reduce/eliminate the problem that I'm having: With the new 383 and 315's, when I mash it and the car hooks, what feels like wheel hop shakes the tranny and shifter violently. (stock torque arm, at the moment)

(Sorry for highjacking the thread)

It may (normally some banging is associated w/ a broken tranny mount). Worn/broken motor mounts can also shake the tranny.
