Tranny mount options? Can't stand the vibrations!

I can't take the vibrations at 70+mph any longer. I currently have a polyurethane Energy Suspension tranny mount.

Is there ANY other alternative that won't break like the stock rubber one, but won't vibrate as much!?!

I've found that putting to hose clamps tightly around the stock rubber mount greatly increases its strength. I'm not saying its as strong as a Poly, but it really helps improve the rubber mount.

Where did you order it from? Part Number? Cost?

I cant freaking stand the vibrations in mine anymore. I got a LS1 DS hoping it would help and it did slighty but its feels like the floor boards are going to rip out.

Matt,
Did you use the spacer between the mount and case? If so, take it out...It'll make it vibrate alot less.

I got the LS1 mount from Jason Cromer for $40 or $50 shipped.

I'll try that Frank.

It works...trust me. I put the spacer in my poly mount when I put it on. It would rattle the fillings out of your teeth with it. Taking it out made a huge difference.

The LS1 mount will stretch, and allow the trans to bang the floor if you launch hard enough.

What spacer are we speaking of? My poly mount is all one peice, or so I remember it that way.

I thought about find some rubber or something and shoving it between where the crossmember mounts to the tranny mount and car's floor boards as a buffer, but a LS1 mount seems so much easier.

I'd love to save about $50.

I just took the spacer out and damn it is SO much smoother. Frank is offically god when it comes to anything 4L60E related.

IMO, the LS1 mount is a good "compromise" of strength, while still being soft enough to absorb most normal vibrations. I ran with an ES poly mount for awhile and got tired of the vibes, so I put back my stock (perfect condition) mount. I never tried removing the backing plate from the poly mount though . I've also seen my buddy's stock LT1 mount (with maybe ~65k on it) and it was TOAST!! Granted, his car is an M6, but still, the mount shouldn't be disintegrated like that!!!

Are these vibrations with Poly mounts that common? When I put my clutch in my car, i went with a poly mount and it didn't vibrate in the least. I even used the spacer. Is this vibration only common with the autos?

Re: Tranny mount options? Can't stand the vibrations!

I installed an ES poly trans mount in mine which was a different thickness than the stock mount and it caused my Pacesetter LT header on the drivers side to hit the floorboard and changed the angle of the driveshaft vs transmission output shaft. I had to fab some 1/2" thich spacers to install between the crossmember and chassis in order to correct that angle and get the header off of the floorboard. But the ES bushing still transfered too much vibes for my nerves to stand. I imagine since I had some DS vibe, even with the stock mount, another driveshaft may have solved a good bit of that vibe problem but I didn't try that.
And, Matt, I know you've seen my solution before but I'll link a picture or two for anyone else with this problem with the ES specs being different than stock causing header clearance and DS angle problems.
And I also eliminated that spacer and it certainly helped, but the vibe thing was still there, although much better.
BTW: I thought you had a source for a different DS. Did that deal not happen?
Spacers 1
Spacers 2
Spacers 3
That didn't seem to work, lets try this one

I have also just installed a poly mount in my 95 m6 z and it vibrates some. I was wondering if anyone has removed the spacer on a 6 speed and did it make a difference?
