Tranny mount?

Would a bad tranny mount cause a clunk noise when you stop? It doesnt do it while driving only coming to a complete stop. Any ideas gears and everything was rechecked and are good.

Re: Tranny mount?

It is more possible to get a clunk from a worn out u-joint or from your brakes than from your mount, (if the mount is broken, you will notice various noise/hitting under hard acceleration/shifting) but since it's not that hard to inspect it, you might give that a try first.

Also check the torque arm mount. Mine was bad (ripped up) and it did the cluck coming to and sometimes leaving a stop.
