ok i got this loud bang noise that comes from underneath my center console....i get it when i go over bumps or when it snows i hit the gas and mytires spin and it seems like something comes up and hits....could this be my tranny mount being shot?

 

When mine went out the tranny would jump up about an inch or so while going over bumps. My shifts were not "solid" either. The mount probably is your problem but there is no way to tell unless you take the mount off and inspect it. Regardless, I think it is a good idea to just replace it with a poly unit anyway. Takes all of 15 minutes.

 

If your tranny mount is bad, I'll hook you up with the stocker off my 94 for like $25 shipped...

I put a poly on cause I swapped in a 3000 stall, but there was nothing wrong with the stock mount...

thats your tailshaft that is coming up and hittin' your console...Thats not a good thing..Just change mounts and you'll be fine.

ok so i got the tranny mount from thunderracing.com and i just put it in...i cranked all the bolts and then let the car down...i started it up and it now has this bad vibration....the knock it gone that happen when i went over bumps but this vibration is drivin me nuts!! what the hell happend?

 

its because of the stiff poly mount. it'll take a couple weeks for it to break in and go away.
