Tranny help??

my car has 117000 miles on it, there is no telling if the t56 is stock or not, but I was wondering if I put close to 400 at the wheels and a set of 4:10 gears, will the tranny hold?? I've heard that I could rip out first gear with the gears, is this true? Ne help would be greatly appreciated, thanx..

Re: Tranny help??

you probably wont be stripping gears, but you can be asure that you will be replacing the stock synchronizers in a hurry. DDperformance.com has soke good replacement synchros. it might be a good idea for a full refreshing of your t-56
