tranny fluid question

So i have my tranny off the car and i was wondering when i put it back together if I could pour the tranny fluid through where the shifter hole. I figure it will be easier than trying to pour in through the fill hole on the tranny. Its a 95 T56 tranny.

Yes you can, much easier that way.

Yep, that's what I did. Just don't overfill it. Technically you should pull out the fill plug and make sure it's topped off, but I just dumped 4 quarts in it and let it be.
