Tranny Dipstick Tube sealing problems

Why is it every time I put in the transmission dipstick tube it leaks? Does anyone else have this problem with leaking around the grommet?

In the past I have 'fixed' it with sealant on all the parts and why I didn't do that this time is beyond me but I have to take that damn bolt out again, take out the tube, clean it and silicon up all that crap and get it back in the trans. Then let it sit for a while to seal up and then start it up to make sure it sealed....

What are others doing?

P/N 1259475 - Filler tube seal.

silicone is a no-no... If it gets into trans, it will cause damage...

GM Part number? Or will NAPA or the like recognize this number?

I am sure this will be very funny but I have several of those part numbers sitting in the garage, and it dont matter they still leak for some reason, new/used/borrowed/etc.

Thanks for the part number.......
