Can comeone explain what "flashing" and "foot brakeing" a convertor is.
Also, what is a Trans Brake and what does it do?

the "flash" speed of a converter is the speed the rpms will drop to on a hard upshift.....my 3400 for example stalls to 3400-3600 and flashes to around 4500 or so meaning that after leaving first gear, the car never gets below 4500 or so rpm...."foot braking" is a new one on me but id assume it probably means holding the brake down while bringing the revs up to preload the torque converter for a launch.....this is also known as stalling up or powerbraking the car...(someone correct me if i was wrong about the "footbraking" thing)

a transbrake is a device which allows u to bring an automatic car's revs WAYYYY up with the car in gear, allowing you to apply power instantly, kind of a cross between a neutral drop and dumping the clutch in a stick car....

Good definitions here http://www.edgeracingconverters.com/WhatisStall.htm

A transbrake puts the tranny in first and reverse at the same time using an electrical solenoid. Release the solenoid and it pops out of reverse. Gives you a pretty good kick in the rear if it's behind a powerful motor with grippy tires!
