TQ converter and gear effect

What effect does high stall TQ converters (3500+stall) and gears (3.73+) have on your dyno numbers? Also how much horsepower is lost with a slipping tranny?

Re: TQ converter and gear effect

Gear ratio - essentially no effect
Loose converter - huge effect, 10-15% difference compared to a manny tranny
Slipping tranny - impossible to quantify, dpends how bad it's slipping

So if a manual car is making 300rwhp on the dyno, it would make 10-15% less rwhp if you swapped a A4 with a 3500 stall into it?

Somewhere in that range is what I have seen. A 3,500 would more likely be towards the lower (10%) end of the range.
