Torque converters
Torque converters
Was looking to buy about a 3500 tc, was looking at the TCI one for the 4l60e, anyone have any good or bad luck with them? I know yank and vig are the way to go, but thats another 300~.

You'll be fine with the TCI unit a very good friend of mine has one and he loves it versus the same rated stall that came from a manufacturer listed above (which was junk from day one and the builder of the convertor basically told him his tranny and car was junk thats why it didn't work). He beats on his car all the time and races it just about every weekend then drives it to work.
I have a half dozen 7" convertors and they range in stall from 7200 to 8500 for the Comp Eliminator car, to give you an idea of how size almost goes hand in hand with stall speeds.

EDIT: iv decided to hold off on the converter, because if I do get the converter, chance of breaking the rear is high, and if it breaks no way will I have money to fix it/buy 12bolt. Also, if the tranny breaks ill also be in bad shape. Also
quality converter is going to cost 750$ or so.
