I assume all the 93-97 are the same. If you want a stock replacement than they are probably everywhere. If you want a nice aftermarket one the they are all over but the nice ones will cost you. I prefer the Vigilante, Yank and Fuddle. Then you have to decide on the stall speed. A good quality one will run over $500 but is well worth the extra money.

I got a factory replacement 'heavy duty" V6 converter for my turbo LT1 becuase it stalls a bit higher, about 2500rpm. It's great and I got it for only $62 through a friends commercial account. I think it's just for a similar year 3.8L.

lol... mine works with no issues. Apparently this is a fairly common 'mod'.

Maybe, there heavy as hell so shipping might suck lol... I'll ask my buddy if this would be a possibility.

I think I also have my stock converter somewhere. I blew up my transmission and decided for $62 I'd try the higher stall converter since I had to pull the transmission anyway.

Get one of those cooling system hand pump pressure testers. If the cooling system doesn't hold pressure (18psi or so), it will have overheating issues. The radiator cap is a common failure point.

The air damn on the underside could be damaged or missing. The thermostat could be bad. The coolant mixture could be off. The cooling system could have an obstruction.
