SS SLP Zexel compaired to Z28 Zexel?

I searched and did not find what i was looking for. I want to know if there is a differance between the two carriers?
I know that the LT1 SS's had the Auburan replaced by a Zexel and only the 98-02 Z28 got a zexel from the factory but I've heard of them being replaced by SLP????
Thanks

App... 97ss. Purchased an SLP option for a Zexel Torsen geared differential with 3.42:1 ratio on a M6. Good torque bias. I broke it and went to a Moser 12 Trutrac. Don't know if the stock diff was an Auburn or Eaton differential. B.

I bought a Torsen "take all" diff from SLP years ago. It came on a new Z28 they converted to an SS. I just assumed they replaced them with an auburn or eaton?

Is it still alive?? I've read that the SLP upgread was a T2R and the stock ones where just T2's.... I'm not sure, I hope someone else will chime in.

Yeah, it's been fine. No heavy track use though. It's not an R. Was only $99.

I've just bought a Zexel out of a 97 SS so I'm assuming it a T2R, not sure thought???

I'm going to have the tubes welded, all new bearings, and a set of Motive 3.73,and the Zexel installed in my rearend. I already have a TA cover.
I'm hoping it will stay together. I also have a new Spec stage 3 and billet steel flywheel and a Set of 315/35/17 Nitto DR's, so it will get a going over.LOL.....

Rebuilt or not, go easy on the 10 bolt with the M6.

What I really want to know is the Zexel I have a T2R?
Thanks

I found the answer here:http://www.thirdgen.org/beefinguprear

It's a T2R because it has 2 conical gears in it per side....
