torque arm question

what tends to happen when the tqarm bushings wear? i have something banging directly under the tunnel under hard acceleration in 1st or 2nd gear and im not sure if it is in the driveline of if it is the ypipe. almost feels like the trans is hitting the floorboard. i have already replace the trans mount.

The rubber bushing holds the TA inside the clamshell TA front mount. If the bushing is damaged, its possible the TA could contact the mount.

That's what happened when the bolt fell off of my torque arm bushing mount. If that's what happened to you, BE CAREFUL because acceleration is making it swing UP, but when you hit the brakes, it can swing DOWN into the pavement and WRECK YOUR CAR! You need to check it out soon!

it could be the trans mount itself and the trans is hitting the floor, mine let loose at WOT one time, man did the bang it felt like the trans was comming out of the floor.
