Torn between short shifters

I don't know what shifter i should get. i favor both hurst and b&m. hurst has it's oldschool following but the b&m ripper shifter looks mighty nice! someone give me a little commentary on either of them.

I have the hurst billet plus and was happy at first but wanted the throw to be a little shorter. Ended up getting the Lou's short stick for it and am very satisfied now.

The ripper pretty much sucks. I sold mine and got a pro 5.0. Much, much better. Thats the ONLY way to go

I went with the Hurst because it looks the best with its chrome handle and because of Hursts legendary quality/name. I've owned several old Hursts for my 4 spd cars and i loved them. I love the way my Hurst shifts and looks. My buddy prefers my hurst over his pro 5.0 also.

Re: Torn between short shifters

I just installed my pro 5.0 with a Jarrod's short stick yesterday. I had a Hurst competition plus that was installed way back in 95 when it was the only one available. At least I think thats what it's called. It's the one with the angled handle that has Hurst engraved in it. Anyway, the pro 5.0 blows it away.

Pro 5.0 here, I also chopped 1.25 inches off the shifter and is night and day difference compaired to the stock shifter.
