throwout bearing bad???

I need some opinions about a issue that developed over the weekend.I have a spec stage 3 clutch in my camaro that has only 1500 miles on it.I had the clutch out of my car last month due to engine rebuild so I know the pressure plate and disk are in excellent shape. The problem is when I push my clutch in I get this awful groining and vibration through the pedal and when I let the pedal out it goes away and everything is fine. And if Im driving and goto shift gears it wants to grind it feels like the clutch isnt disengaging.Im thinking its a throwout bearing.Does anybody have any opinions.

Re: throwout bearing bad???

a bad throwout bearing can cause this. i had one come apart and it cut a groove into the pressure plate. also if the pivot for the clutch fork backs out itll cause it to rub on the pressure plate also. hope this helps
