Is there a clutch that can hold over 800HP?

I am just finishing a twin turbo lt1 project that i have been working on for about 4 years and I will be needing a clutch that will hold up to @ 800 ft lbs and 800 hp for my t56 set up. I know the trans probably wont live long but as long as I have to drop the money on a new clutch I wanted to get one that has a chance to grab. any Ideas Will help thanks.

I think the McLeod Street Twin can hold that and then some.

Agreed. A Spec 4 could probably hold that much power, but I've heard that it's chattery and not very streetable, whereas the McLeod is totally friendly.

If you read in the FI section you ll find plenty of guys using them. Some complain about lauching their cars because the clutch is so "grabby". If you look around in their you will find more 500-800hp cars that need these twin disc clutches.

IIRC, Taner blew a Spec 4 and upgraded to a McLeod Street Twin.

I'm running the SPEC Stage 4 but haven't spent too much time at the track. Last time I ran, I snapped the DS at the launch! It don't slip much at all..

slight correction, I have always run a ST. imo, at 800hp a street twin will work fine. at 1000hp.... time to upgrade.

best bet is call McLeod and speak to Billy or Lee over there, let them know what you have, how you plan on driving the car, and they will set you up!
