Th400...............

I thinking about getting rid of my T-56, and replacing it with this-----> ***CLICK HERE*** then click TCI-212500

My car is a daily driver. Anyone running this tranny? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Th400...............

Think long and hard about a non-OD, non-lockup tranny for a car that sees a lot of street time. I swapped in a TH400 and going to go back to a T-56. In my case, that wiill mean retiring the car from the track, but the auto really ruined it as a street car, in my eyes. Unless you are making HUGE hp or are seriously going to bracket race, why not stick with the T56?

However, if you plan to go ahead are you interested in a T56-TH400 swap? My TH400 is a "top of the line" unit from Rossler with ~1,000 miles and 20 passes on it.

Re: Th400...............

Hey Rich,

My goal is to have this thing run 10's on pump gas with no nitrous. I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull that off with 350 cubic inches, ported factory heads and intake, an S-trim, and a T-56. I've decided against a sollid roller cam. I don't want to spin this motor past 6,400 RPM's. I still have an 8.2 inch 10 bolt under this car, so I won't take it to the track until I replace it. Do you think I can pull off high 10's with a T-56 and some drag radials?

The 10 bolt will be a problem, not the T-56.
