TH350 short/long tailshaft

I have a turbo350 for my third gen with the short tailshaft.
If I were to buy a long tailshaft would it just bolt right up to my trans? what has to be done to switch the tailshafts? I already got the B&M kit for the crossmember and torque arm, but now I am stuck on the driveshaft/tailshaft situation.
thanks for the help!!

im wondering the same thing about a th350 for a 4th gen. i have been checking junk yards for 3 days now and have only come up with short tails. from what i know i need a mid tail(9"). is it possible to change the tailshaft instead of getting a new D/S.

i have a brand new th350 tranny with a short tail shaft and an adapter block in middle. it uses the long shaft. im looking to get a 1000 obo out of it. it is suppose to be a direct swap for 700r4. i dont no if it is or not cause i bought it for s10 and only bolted it in and filled with fluid then never finished project. now i want a 6speed.

i have picks if u email me
