I have a 1982 Firebird Trans Am with a 4spd manual transmission in it, i am looking to swap in a turbo 350 automatic instead because i do alot of bracket racing. Now what do i need to make this possible?

th350 tranny
9" tailshaft housing?
i understand B&M makes a conversion kit for the torque arm.
does the cross member bolt up or do i need a new one?
do i need a new driveshaft? i read that it requires a 9" tailshaft with a 1982 200-r4 driveshaft, any idea if my driveshaft is the same length? Thanx, Mike

 

I think you'd have a much better chance of getting this answered on the 3rd Gen Tech board........ moving it there.
