Just as a side note you can get a turned down turbo 400 drum and sprag that fits in a turbo 350 and makes it every bit as strong as a tubo 400. The weak point on the 350 was the drum and sprag,I have built a few with this set up and they have stood up to 700 hp no problem. Its cheaper to build the 400 if you have it though as the drum and sprag kit costs 400.00 my cost,I already had the turbo 350 and the turbo action v-body so it was cheaper for me this route.

I just know of guys running well into the 9's with a th350. I probably won't make it that far, so I figured that the th350 would be plenty. Also, I thought that a th350 would be easier to find and cheaper to build than a th400. I do like my auto setup, I just can't keep them together. I guess I can look into trying to fix that instead of the swap. The more info I can get, the better.

Thanks,
Benji

Not ready just yet if you were speaking to me. Finances have changed so I got to see where they fall out and then toy money will be determined. I should know something of that effect with in 4-6 weeks.....sorry.

That's cool, just let me know when you find out. I found a built th350 but it has the 6" tail shaft. What is all involved in putting a 9" tail shaft in it? Or would it be cheaper just to buy a driveshaft?

Thanks,
Benji

I have no clue, sorry, but I think the actual shaft has to be the 9" part....
