just replaced input shaft, associated bearing, and race. after the bearing seized up we pulled the front cover and discovered that input shaft bearing had spun. got new parts all around and a new cover to boot. after reinstallation and driving we discovered that second gear is very tough to get into and fourth is impossible. any thoughts as to where we couldve went wrong???
