I am looking for some input into a good t56 trans that will handle a good amount of horsepower (say max 500hp). Does any one know of a 6 speed trans that can handle the power and torque? I will be using it mostly for daily driving but sometimes I get carried away and like to go a little crazy.

Stock T56 will handle 500 HP with no problems. There are upgrade packages available from D&D or Keisler if you don't feel the stocker will handle that kind of power level. Mine handled 760 flywheel HP with no problems. Rich Krause ran over 800rwHP. You didn't say whether you mean 500 flywheel HP or 500 rear wheel HP, but it shouldn't make much difference.
