Re: T56 Shifter recommendations

i just picked up a MGW a couple weeks ago and i absolutely love it. the shifts are extremely crisp and it requires very little effort to change gears. you push forwards or back and the shifter does the rest.

Re: T56 Shifter recommendations

I've had both the Hurst and B&M Ripper- I would say they were pretty equal in performance.

Both were pretty easy to drill another hole to drop the stick down a little shorter and make it even more fun to shift. The Ripper I had only required a roll of the wrist for the 1-2 and 3-4 shifts- but having it that short made getting into reverse a little tough at times. Gotta pay to play.

since that reminded me, with the MGW you can trim the bottom of the shaft to shorten it if you want it lower than they provide.

Re: T56 Shifter recommendations

Take a look at the Pro5.0. I had both a Hurst and the Pro5.0 and the Pro5.0 was definitely much better. Stick can be cut down about 1.5" and still have enough threads. But that was more than 10 years ago - maybe there's something newer that's even better.
