T56 rebuild question

Well this is why you shouldn't wait 3 months to put a tranny back together

I can't remember exactly how the Shift Rail Assembly for 1st-4th goes back together in conjunction with the 5th/6th Rail Assembly.

I think the reason it is not going together right is the shift selector assembly might be upside down. I don't know for sure though. I might have it perfect but it doesn't "feel" right to me so I'm not going to seal it up yet.

If you don't know what i'm talking about then please refrain from posting unless you really think you have good info to provide.

Otherwise I am all ears to suggestions or info.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I wish I was around more for the disassembly and reassembly for my T56 so I could just tell you how it goes back but I dont remember either. Do you have the T56 Service Manual? You can get it from Shoebox's page. That'll definitely help you out.

Yeah I have it. It is a little vague in some spots though. And it has various inconsistancies in a couple of places. Unfortunately following it exactly would hurt more than help in this case.
