Decided I want to stick with the t56 in my car. Except I'm going to have to rebuild it i have come to realize. I'm looking at about high 400 to mid 500 horsepower my engine is going to put out. I'm looking for a rebuild kit for the t-56, but have come to realize that I'm having trouble finding a good kit. I'm not looking to spend 1500 on a rebuild kit that's reliable for 1000+ horsepower. Looking for a kit that can handle my horsepower range maybe 500-600 horsepower. If you know any good sites, or places that sell reliable kits please let me know!

I admire you setting out to do it yourself. Transmission rebuilds seem to be one thing that even the most self-sufficient car people will send off to have someone else do. I sent mine to 6 speeds inc., which is a well known place for rebuilding LT and LS transmissions. It was $2000, and then shipping was a little more. They're in Texas.
