T56 Rebuild

I'm in the process of rebuilding my tranny, (2nd one I've done), and I've got a question. I purchased the carbon fiber lined synchros, steel 3-4 fork, synchro rebuild kit, and a bearing kit. Both a local tranny builder, and a the manual basically say to inspect the bearings and to "not replace" them unless they show signs of wear. Mine look fine, but the tranny does have close to a 100k to fix it. Anyways I have the bearings and even ordered a tool to get them off, (I have a press), but I'm wondering if I'm just making work for myself for nothing.

Thanks.
