I used an energy suspension brand poly trans mount on my auto, and it sucked. Rattled my teeth. Looking for a poly trans mount that is a stock replacement, and doesnt rattle teeth out of place.
Thanks

I have one that works just fine....
You know what, i just reinstalled my old ES poly mount just now and took it for a ride, and it runs perfect. Feels alot fimer, and doesnt rattle my teeth like it did when i had my auto in there. That mount must be made for a 6spd or something.
Ah well. im Happy

Its not the brand of polyurethane tranny mount. Poly = Poly as far as tranny mounts. They take a little bit of time to break in.Originally Posted by sabre81

I've owned my car for 8 years, and I've only gone through one tranny mount. I replaced my stock one for an 1LE Tranny Mount. I think I've had it for 4-5 years now, and it has held more than its own.

I just ordered an Energy suspension mount for my tranny. (Auto) The guy that I talked to said GM threw in a taller mount at some point then switched back. So the Energy suspension rep told me to compare very carefully the sizes of the mounts. Or else the car will shake like a *****.

Everyone has a different tolerance for noise and vibration. I personally wouldn't have a poly tranny mount in a street car. But some people like 'em.
