Hello,

I have a 97 Z28 with about 72,000 on the clock. The car will sometimes but not always whine when I start it up and drive it. It makes the noise in neutral as well, so I am not sure what to think. I can still hear it as I drive it too. I've done some searching, but it doesn't seem to have a definate answer, other than it's some what common. Any one solved this problem? Do I need to worry about it? I prefer to hear the exhaust rumble and not the tranny whine
