T56 help and info needed

I was cusing to the pet store to buy som fish in my 93 z28 and I shifted from 3rd to 4th and just when I waa gona jump to 6th I realized the shifter didnt wana move.... At all. So I tryed makin it home on side roads blowin stop sighns left and right. Finally I had to stop. As I was waiting for my friend to come with his tow truck I was tryin to get it outa gear. I press on the clutch and it rolled back so I dont think its the throwout or anything with the clutch. I got the shifter to move where nutral is and I started the car and it was making a grumbling noise. Shifter wouldnt move in any direction but back to 4th. When back in 4th the noise would stop. I found a 95 z wit 80k. Adult owned and garage kept. So what im gona do is take all my goodies from my 93 and put it in 95. I wana take 93 trans appart to see how it works, what happend, and rebuild it wit stronger parts. I like how 1st and 2nd are geared in 93, make car a rocket wit 3.73s so any input on what may of happened to my tranny, where I can find step by step instructions for disassemble, and where I can get stronger parts for the 93 t56 would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone in advance.

Tremec's site has the teardown manual.
It takes some tools for full disassembly.

Your 93 box probably had 3 struts/keys fall partially out of the synchro hub and jam up the synchro slider, sticking you in 4th. The keys & springs can potentially cause more damage in there.

Rockland is somewhat near.
Really, any dealer of Tremec parts can get all the '93 parts.

According to the 4th Gen FAQ, the 93 M28 (3.36 1st gear) is rated at 360 lb-ft, and the M29 (2.97 1st gear) at 400 lb-ft. The later versions (2.66 1st gear) are rated at 450 lb-ft.

Shoebox also had the T56 manual on his website:
