T5 weaknesses?

I'm installing a T5 in an S10, the transmission is out of an 86 Camaro. The truck may have 350-375hp and everybody is saying that the transmission won't hold up, is that true? If so what is weak about it?

Re: T5 weaknesses?

Nobody has broken a T5, that's good news.

Re: T5 weaknesses?

Last time I read about someone breaking one the trans broke all over internally. They are just not built to handle the torque, and so parts inside start to break. 350hp will kill the T5 no problem. People have broken them behind a stock 305 and 350 TPI.
