Is the T-56 in the LT1 and LS1 cars the same?

Is the T-56 in the LT1 and LS1 cars the same?

Is the T-56 in the LT1/LS1/LS2/LS6 cars the same? Will one from an LT1 car bolt up to an LS1, etc.? If not, which is better and why?

throwout bearing/input shaft are different

bell housing different I believe

can't interchange them

Yep, you can't interchange them. Everything he said is true plus the clutch hydraulics are different since the LT1 is a pull clutch and LSx is a push clutch. Also the front adapter plates are different.

Actually, you CAN interchange them, but you have to change everything from the front adapter plate forward, including the input shaft (different length) .

BUT, everything BEHIND that is identical!!
