T-56 HARD to get in gear

I recently let my car sit for about a month and a half. Jumped in it today just to drive it to a buddies house for dinner and it's absolutely ridiculous hard to get the car into gear without it rolling a bit.

Seriously, like two arms forcing the shifter into first with the clutch depressed fully to the floor. Sometimes it was just easier to force it into 2nd or even 3rd, but still that's with two handed grunting push to get it there.

At stops the car would die while in gear with the clutch fully depressed to the floor.

Car drove fine before this layup.

I'm honestly just happy that it's a Monday night and nobody is out and about since I was a 12ft long road hazard.

Suggestions on where to start?

Bleed the clutch like he said; or it almost sounds like the clutch disk is sticking to the PP.

Yes. Sounds like your clutch is not fully disengaging. Mine was doing that at the drag strip a couple of weeks ago after working flawlessly for the past 5 years. I think mine is due to some clutch material 'flaking off' and getting between the clutch disc and either the flywheel or the pressure plate.

Could this be a sign of the clutch dying or is it something that bleeding the system will take care of? Car has over 100k

Lowest quote I've received was about $90 (I wouldn't know where to start) just to bleed it. Not a problem monetary wise at all. Just wondering if I should be saving for a big problem later on.

Is there an inspection plate? Where would it be located?

Is this for your 2002? The inspection plates are on the front of the bellhousing. I had a similar issue where is was really hard to shift and impossible to get into reverse, and it ended up being the clutch itself. Broke a hub spring. Is your pedal soft at all?

It's impossible to get into ANY gear. I have to turn the car off to get it into gear then start it with the clutch pedal pushed in and it still lurches forward with the clutch pedal depressed. I've just been moving it around the driveway.

Yes, it's for my 2002. Pedal feels normal to me.

I'll be bleeding the master cylinder this Friday, any specific fluid that it uses?

Just brake fluid?
