T-56 Clutch fork??

Ok guys, I'm new to the T-56. I am swapping one into my 91 formula right now and what I understand is that put on the pilot bushing then you bolt on the flywheel first. Oh yea, I'm doing all this outside the car first then installing everything together. The car was originally an auto. Then i bolt the pressure plate on lightly with the disc and T.O. bearing. Then I use the alignment tool and torque down the bolts to spec. What I am really confused on is how i install the fork on the T.O. bearing?? do i have the fork bolted on the tranny first?? I see there is a slot where you can mover the fork around. I just don't understand how the fork and the throw out bearing comes together with the tranny and bellhousing bolted to the motor? I need some serious help guys, i wanted to do this today.

Thanks in advance,

Zach

Put the fork on the transmission. Install the transmission. Make sure the fork is pulled away from the trans. It will be loose on the trans. Slide it toward the center of the trans onto the throwout bearing and it will snap into place on the pivot bolt on the trans.

Re: T-56 Clutch fork??

Ok, sounds pretty easy. I just never first hand installed a clutch myself before, so i was making sure. Also I am using the Centerforce DF clutch assembly. I've heard there is supposed to be a flat spot on the T.O bearing for the fork to seat onto, i didn't see one. Maybe I didn't look close enough?
