What are some of the things that happen when your trans goes out? I have an a4 and when i try to take off when the trans is in drive it acts like the brakes are on the car doesn't want to move but like their is resistance.... But after it gets moving the trans works normal... Also my speedo reads 110mph when i am only going 30-40mph.... When i pulled the car in the garage everything worked great ..... The only thing i changed were my plugs and reflashed the PCM.... What are the chances of the pcm having to many flashes in it and being bad? The pcm has been flashed maybe 30 times or more and i do have a msd ignition...

 

Sounds to me like you should buy my used (but very well cared for) 4l60e for 350$ .

Sorry to hear you're having troubles, actually. I don't know too much about these things other than when they start acting up, it's time to get it rebuilt.

 

I will go to a 6speed if the trans is bad ... I already can get one with clutch for real cheap i just hope the problem is the computer...
