switching from 26 to 28 axles

With my stock 26 splines in my 88 IROC, I want to change to moser 28 spline. What else do I need to change to accept these, do I need to change the carrier, diff anything to accept the 28s???
I also will install a stud girdle to the 10 bolt. to do as best as I can till I can afford a 9inch or 12 bolt.
The only changes made to my drum rear end is a set of Richmond 3:73's

You'll have to change the posi. The axles fit into the side gears of the posi and a 28 spline axle isn't going to fit into a 26 spline hole.

See if you can get your hands on the slp take-off zexel torson posi's on ebay or the classifieds, all other stuff will bolt up as long as you have a 3 series ring gear.
