swapping a TH400 into a 3rd gen

I have an 88 IROC with a dead 700R4, but can get ahold of a built 400 tranny. I was hesitant at first because I'll lose my overdrive and thats all I care about is the overdrive part of the 700 because I have 3:73's out back. I only drive this car on weekends and race it enough to not wanna keep blowing up 700s.
Anyway, what do I have to change in order to get the 400 in and mounted to my l98??

I don't know enough about third gens to be really specific. The tranny will bolt right up though. You might might to post over in third gen tech, I am sure someone there has done the swap.
