about to order a 12 bolt from Tom, would i need the super strength posi? right now i have (its an M6) roughly 350ish rwhp NA & maybe 500ish rwhp on spray. future plans are a stroker with 475ish rwhp na & 700ish rwhp on spray.

also, which gear (3.73 or 4.10)? i wanted a 3.90, which strange doesn't offer. my tranny ratios are mixed with a 93 & 96 gears,

3rd-1.43
4th-1.00
5th-0.74
6th-0.50

Why take the chance on the weaker unit if your planning on that much Hp. Get the Heavy duty.
Also on your gear choices get the 3:73 if you plan on spraying the car and running a 26" tall tire. If you go the 4:10 size you be running out of gear or close to running out N/A.
I'm running a 9" with 4:11s and I'm almost out of 4th @ 5,500 rpm on motor with a 25.25" tire.

 

George Baxter burned up the Strange "standard" posi clutches at 750flywheelHP in a 4,000# convertible. He replaced it with a "super strength" unit, and took it to 950flywheel (high 9's) with no problems. Then he switched to a 9-inch for the 1,125flywheel level.
