Re: strong 4l60?

I've got 60E's in low 11 second cars (11.0 @ 124 MPH). Getting them to work is one thing...getting them to last is another. Fortunately I'm the best at both of them. This particular car is a '97 T/A with a 175 shot...Spraying through the shifts. 200 runs + street driving.

Go to http://www.700r4l60e.com/store/custo...&cat=18&page=1 this should give you all that you want for 525-550HP range. If you are going to produce horsepower above this range, then the Limited Street with the vacuum modulator will get you in the 625-650HP range safely. Let me know if I can help?

Another option would be Rossler Transmission. Karl builds some serious trannies.

Re: strong 4l60?

Both builders that responded above are good, I went with Frank for the same reason as you! I want to spray next season and since I had to get the trans rebuilt, I figured I would get it built right! The 97 TA he was refering to is RacinLT1 on this board, and he lives near me, and after seeing how well that car ran, and talking about it I knew CPT was where I was going to send my trans. Too bad my OBD1 computer didn't like my new converter or I would be running much better, I ran 13.2 @ 102, after hitting the dreaded stall wall and going into limp mode, with just the mods in my sig. I am hoping for 12's the way is sits after I get computer fixed.

And to answer the original question, yes, you can get a 4l60e to be built to handle a lot! Good luck

yea i have the stall problem too...but since i am rebuilding the motor figured i should do the tranny while im at it....i was able to get a 13.02 @ 112mph though....i was running a monte carlo that on that run got a 12.34 @ 109mph
and before i had the the shifting problem going into second i was about 2 1/2 cars in front of him...would have like to seen what the car was capable of before i spun a bearing

Doesn't that suck! I was so excited to drive my car at the track, I got into an accident and that started all this and it was like 6+ months since the last time I was at the track, and I wanted to test out the new mods and all I could do was a 13.2, even though it was a new best I was still disapointed.

I just got the computer fixed, I think, Just installed a "Fixed" tune from Bryan @ PCMFORLESS the other night, but I havn't tested it yet, and being near philly I can't just test on the street like some guys in a rural area. I can't wait to go back to the track and see how it does!

Frank or Pro Built will both treat you right and build a great tranny. I went with Pro Built and have no complaints.
