Strange S60 ABS Question

Hey guys did a search and didnt find much help. Im in the process of purchasing a slighty used strange s60 with no ABS. What would be required in adding the ABS to it? Abs Sensor, Reluctor ring bolted to the ring gear and than re-shimmed for backlash? Thanks for the input.

On my Strange 12-bolt with HD Eaton posi, the reluctor gear is machined into the carrier. It either has it or is doesn't - you can't add one. Might want to check with Strange to see what they do on the S60.

It is not their "standard practice". You only get it if you order it. The reason mine is sitting on a work bench, is because I ordered ABS, but Strange "forgot" to install the posi with the ABS reluctor machined into it. They installed a posi without the reluctor. It took about a month for them to produce the new posi, and ship it to a local shop, where it was swapped out with the incorrect part for free, and the shop's work was included in the Strange warranty.

I wouldn't worry about ABS. Mine worked for about a year, and the Strange sensor (not the same as the factory sensor - and very difficult to adjust) started acting up, and I just disconnected it. Car pulls down from 130MPH traps with no problem.

I probally wont install ABS, especially if its too costly. It is nice to have in the rain but the car only gets stuck in the rain a few times a year. Thanks for the help
