Strange rear axles

I was on the site today and looked at the fully assembled, ready to bolt in 12 bolts. I noticed the price has dropped to about 1200-1300$. The last time I looked they were like over 2 grand. Is this just how much they cost now, or do I have to like purchase other things along with it to make it work? I wanted to get a full axle setup with 3.73's and everything I need to just take mine out and put the new one in right away.
Thanks

If that's true, that is a killer deal. I paid ~$2100 for mine.

What site was it? Are you sure it just wasn't a bare housing?

On strangeengineering.net I went under the 2005 catalog, GM 12 bolt assemblies, 12 bolt complete drop outs, and they had two setups available with some optional equiptment available below it. The site had been setup differently than I last remember seeing it, so maybe I could have looked under the wrong category. I don't exactly know what all is included in the setup I want. Thats why I posted because it seemed strange.
