Strange 12-bolt owners in here please>>

I got my new Strange 12-bolt in, it's got all the options upgraded posi loaded with 3.73's and the AL cover. Sweet unit, welded on some LCA relocations brackets and she bolted right in. I have a Denny's Nitrous DS, and a Adjust Spohn TQ arm with Poly bushings. I set the Pinion angle at -1.

I am not sure if they require break in at all, but there is a whine when declerating and holding some speeds. No vibrations or anything, I am just not sure if it should be this loud or not.

What are your experiences? Will going to a zero pinon angle reduce the whine when on the street? Or will going to a heavier weight syn. gear oil help?

Thanks...

hey, I have a 12bolt (Moser) with the same upgrades, except I have 4:10 gears. Mine does the same whine as well. What brand gears did they use in yours? I got richmonds, and they are notorious for whinning. Im not sure about your rearend, but Moser says never to use synthetic oil!! Make sure to add two bottles of posi additive. Although they tell you there is no break in time. Make sure you go through plenty of heat cycles. Go out get the rear hot by driving around for 10-15 minutes, and then bring it home and let it cool for 1 hour. Do this several times. Take it easy on it for about 500 mi. Also you dont want to keep it at a constant rpm. Make sure you take it at various speeds. After you do this, change your fluid and you will be all good. Many people dont do this, and they say you dont have to, but those are the people whos rears end up breaking and they bad-mouth these companies. Hope this helps!
