stall and gears

Need stall and rear gear suggestion for a stock 95 z with a 219/224 comp cam that is a street car only and will never see the track.

It is my DD car and only has the bolts ons now with the stock stall and 2:73's in the rear.

Motive 3.42 gears and 2400-2800 lockup stall. I like Yank stalls personally.

I had a Vig 2800 and 3.73s on an 02 a4. Yes, it was an LS1 so i'm not exactly comparing apples to apples, but for an auto, I really like the set up. Good acceleration and I think a stall of that size will put you in your powerband without sacrificing too much gas $$.

I second the notion for Motive gears as well. Mine are dead silent. I had Richmond(notorious for whine) in my LS1 and they drove me nuts.

I'm with everybody else. 3.42's and a 2800 stall. If your on a budget you can get the street fighter stall normally for around 430 from summit. I know vigillante stalls are around 700.

www.edgeracingconverters.com is another good choice for a custom made converter "exactly" for your cars combination, instead of a shelf converter with an aproximate stall rating.... a 2800-3000 stall with a 2.45 STR would be about perfect for your application....this is still a 100% daily driver stall ... unless I really step on it, it's hard to tell it's in there.....Im also with the others on the gearing......since your not into the drag strip with slicks or anything, the 3.42's would be great..Joe

IMO, and experience, they're easily on the same level , but I believe the Edge to be more "exact" in it's application being custom built .......Joe
