Spohn LCA Relocation Bracket Owners - In Here Please
If anyone out there currently has a pair of the Spohn "weld-in" LCA relocation brackets for the 4th gen F-Body, (preferably not welded in yet), .........can you measure their overall height for me. In other words, if you stand these brackets up on a flat surface, how tall are they? Also the verticle distance from the top edge of the brackets to the centerline of the bottom hole would be....? TIA for all replies!
I don't have a spohn LCA relocation bracket, i have UMIs brackets but they are bolt ins, which can be welded, and i like them. what are you trying to figure out? just dimensions or trying to figure out what it will do to your ride high, clearance?
Metallicsniper, the short answer to your question is "just dimensions".
I have to "fab up" a pair of "custom" LCA re-location brackets which will allow me to use a set of longer that stock adjustable lower control arms. The stock and non adjustable replacement F-Body LCA's have a 19.25" center to center length. I'll be using adjustable LCA's with a minimum length of 20.5" so........I'll be "fabbing up" up a custom pair of brackets which will not only relocate my axle side LCA attachment point 2"-3" lower, but will also accomodate the longer minimum length of my new LCA's. The Spohn weld in brackets are so simple in design that all I'll have to do is lengthen the height (i.e. "tallness"), of the bracket to accomodate the additional 1.25" minimum length increase of the new LCA's.
How "tall" are your UMI re-location brackets, and how much of an axle side drop will they give you? TIA for all replies to this post.
